Day 3, we woke up slightly later than the day before thanks to the ktv :p
One of my friend gotta go back to Singapore cos she gotta attend this damn seminar.
So we decided to not venture too far away as my friend gotta go back to hotel at 3pm to pick up her luggage before heading to the airport.
That explains the itinerary for a good half of the day -Xinyi District 信義區.

Eslite Bookstore @ Xinyi 誠品書店 (信義店)

Vieshow Cinemas 威秀影城
Look a bit like some neighbourhood mall in Singapore huh? :p

Shin Kong Mitsukoshi 新光三越
Taipei: Neon-lights obsessed city.
If you think Orchard's Borders is big, Eslite Bookstore @ Xinyi is HUGE.
No wonder some people can spend hours in a Taiwan bookstore.
Just looking at the books they have is enough to motivate you to read :p
FYI, Eslite not only have books..
They have retail stores too and there are quite a number of big brands here.
Most importantly, they have a retail corner for my current fave - Porter :)
After that, it was Taipei 台北101, where my friends took like 1001 photos of it.
We decided to go up to the Observatory to check out the hype.
It costs NTD 400 to go up to 89th floor via the the freaking fast elevator (1010m/min). My friend counted and it takes only 48 secs to get from L5 to L89. Super happening huh~
Ticketing point @ L5
Looking down from Taipei 101, it's really quite a spectacular view.
Everything just appears in size XS.
Cars look like toy cars.
Buildings & houses, look like they are models that you'll see in housing projects in showrooms.

And there's also the cute icon of Taipei 101 - Damper Baby :)

Damper Baby - Available in yellow, black, red, grey..

Got profile some more.. Can join Facebook man. Keke~
And after dinner, we headed for the next highlight of the day - Mao Kong 貓空.
Take cable car, see night view, drink tea was on the agenda.
Their cable car is FREAKING CHEAP!
NTD 50 (around S$2) for a one way ride and it's for a good 20 minutes!
Sentosa.... S$12.90 for a one-way ride. Like super over-priced! -.-

Tea appreciation~

Nice food to go along with the tea.
The sweet and sour pork with sweet potatoes is very very very delicious! :D~~

And this place is where we bought tea leaves from.
Apparently, the boss won a lot of awards for the good tea leaves he produce.
We spent hours here talking to the boss and lady boss about everything under the sun! Good nice people who are very hospitable :)
It was also here that we were told that typhoon should be coming soon as it has been very hot and humid the past few days and the sky was very unclear.
I like this place a lot - I guess i am really not a shopper cos it's this kind of place that will appeal to me more than the crazy shopping.
Mao Kong - highly recommended itinerary that you should include in your Taipei trip! :)
