Really need to expand the list of singers/genres I listen to and definitely need to listen to more English songs! And why I’m saying so.. is because 2010 has been a not-too-exciting year for my ears.
Anyway, here are the top 5 albums:
#1 : Hebe 田馥甄 - [To Hebe]
This is probably the one and only music excitement for me in 2010.
After almost 10 years in S.H.E, Hebe finally released her solo album.
Not that it was ever planned that each of them will have their solo album but being the usual biased me, i only care about Hebe. Haha!
She has got the best voice amongst the 3 and given the wide range of music she listens to, I was really looking forward to her solo release and this debut proved to be a really good start!
Judging from the quality of the songs in the album - the production team must have took a long time to pick the songs, complete with Hebe’s vocals – this album is near perfect :)
Oh, and she puts Jolin Tsai to shame. Watch this video of Hebe doing 'Dancing Diva' in a whole new way.

Yen-J 严爵 - [谢谢你的美好]
This guy is really talented.
He composes all the songs and did the music arrangement + play the keyboard in this album.
A good start for a newbie and he’s only 22 but he was slammed for plagiarizing.
Judge for yourself if he did plagiarize..
Denise 何韵诗 - [无名.诗]
Denise Ho is the only female apprentice under Anita Mui and although she's been singing for almost ten years, this is her debut Mandarin album.
This album has got a good mix of songs and reputable musicians in the production team.
I like the first sentence of this song and I’m sure everyone will wish for the same! :)
Olivia Ong - [Olivia]
She’s now under the same record company as S.H.E and this album was first released in Taiwan and received pretty good response.
With such a good soulful voice, she can just sing cover songs and people will still buy it!
This is the only original composition in this album where she wrote the lyrics.
I wonder how it’ll be if she do one full album of Mandarin songs.
Weibird 韦礼安 - [韦礼安]
Another newbie. His songs are refreshingly nice and he has got a good voice.
This is the song that totally caught me but towards the end of the song, he sings in a weirdly disturbing way :x
