I actually wanted to do up the new template properly before i start on a new post but as usual, the lazy bug in me always wins and the blog template still looks the same as 3 weeks ago :p
Anyway, it's year end again! I like year-ends :)
I like how everyone (or rather almost everyone) will just slow down at work.
And year-end's always filled with gatherings and celebrations.
It's a good time to catch up and remind you of the better things in life - family, friends and fun.
However, this year.. Instead of being more relaxed at work, we had to deal with more issues, all thanks to the stupid "system enhancement" which is creating lots of shit. Well, not gonna let it affect my happy year-end mood since it's all not within my control. I just have to manage my customers, which is really not easy now because of all the shit.
And this month, i started on two firsts.
For the first time in my life, i did scrapbooking.
All thanks to a friend who gave another friend the 'inspiration' to do a scrapbook page for everyone else in the group to celebrate our decade of friendship.
A decade of friendship, mind you.. I think it's more sad than happy cos it means we are all growing old!! :x
Scrapbooking is really a time-consuming, back-aching and expensive activity.
And it's expensive because the materials are actually quite costly. A piece of stock paper can cost around $2 to $5. Stickers to decorate can cost as much as $10 to $15. Letterings to stick can cost $7 to $12. And plus the whatnots, it's really quite an expensive hobby. And because i am not exactly a art-art creative person, i really don't get much satisfaction from doing scrapbooking.
And the other first is.. For the first time in my life, i did YOGA!
Yes, yoga - Hot Flow Yoga. Are you surprised??
I'm surprised i actually did it cos i thought it'll be too 'zen' for someone like me. Haha!
I think as you grow older, your body starts giving out signs that it's wearing out and somehow, you just feel that you've to do something about it, for the sake of your own health.
Ever since i signed up for Fitness First, my colleague has been telling me to go for yoga lessons with her and on Wednesday, i finally took the first step.
I have to say it's not as bad as i thought it will be and you're actually working out the whole body. The bending and twisting, you do at your own pace & according to your own limits, the instructor is there to correct your posture. At the end of the session, i feel i worked out more compared to working out on the machines. My body is aching a little now but my colleague says it's normal for beginners.
Hopefully, i can keep the momentum going for the yoga lessons and probably still do a little on the cardio machines. I want to get back the feeling of being healthy!
Oh, and for the scrapbooking... It shall end when 2009 ends :)
