For lunch, we decided to explore the food street of Taipei - Yong Kang St 永康街 and we had the following:

At Yong Kang Street, the famous restaurant that a lot of tourists go for is none other than what we are very familiar with - Din Tai Feng.
But instead of Din Tai Feng, we went to this Shanghai restaurant instead.
Not exactly cheap though, we spent about S$15 per pax.. BUT the food was good!
The chicken soup is delicious :D~~~~~
And thereafter, we dessert-ed at Ice Monster 冰館.
Words can't describe how shiok this is..
I shall leave you to feel it in the pictures :p

The End :)
And after lunch, we headed for Dan Shui 淡水.
Old Street of Dan Shui 淡水老街
This is where you'll take the ferry to get to Fisherman's Wharf 漁人碼頭, where it's been said that this is the nicest place to view the sunset in Taipei.
Alternatively, there's also Danshui Red Castle 淡水紅樓, where you can view the sunset.
And we settled at this place for our sunset viewing session :)

And my sickening camera died on me halfway through..
I guess travelling is only nice & enjoyable when you slow it down and enjoy the things you don't get to in hectic Singapore. The sunset viewing session was one of the itinerary i enjoyed most at Taipei :)
And we took the MRT from Danshui back to our hotel for barang-unloading and as expected after a long day, all of us fell asleep in the very crowded train. Keke..
Next up, Live House.
We decided to to smarter and took a cab instead.
Witch House 女巫店,filled with enthusiastic musicians.
I think they are TOO enthusiastic though and i can't really feel the same about their enthusiasm. Shall explore a more 'normal' Live House the next time :p
And after midnight, we headed for Shi Lin Night Market 士林夜市.
It was pretty late and we could have explored it the next day, but we didn't want to take the risk as the typhoon was threatening to come.
First sign of the typhoon.. Huge winds & rain.
And i guess it was really too late, Shi Lin is like more or less a ghost town already.
Do try this HUGE sausages when you are in Taipei.
Damn Nice! :)
I think the day has been too long, i didn't really enjoy the food at Shi Lin (except the huge sausages).
And their after-supper activity:
Shopping for instant noodles.
Obviously, i am not involved in this 'mental-gruelling' activity.
How many bowls to buy, what flavour..?
It exhausts a lot of brain cells u know :p
