CPP Offsite - Bangkok 2008 (Part 2)

On Sunday, my room-mate (from the Marketing team) actually planned to go for spa at 10.30am, but because she also went clubbing the night before - she couldn't wake up on time, so it was postponed.

So sales head and myself together with a few other gals from Marketing went to S&P, this popular chain in Thailand for brunch.

Presenting, Leafie's fave -- OJ!!
I think they use a different type of orange, it tastes different and i like it :)
While people go Thailand for coconut, i drink OJ everyday every meal :p

The green curry @ S&P.
Not too bad, but small serving.

After brunch, we went back to hotel to check out the sales guy.
After taking some coffee and chicken wings, the sales guy sober up a bit.
So we went to look for cuff links cos the guys wanted to buy.
In the end, they didn't buy any as the price went up a lot.

And sales guy say he really cannot take it, so he headed back to hotel for sleep.
Sales head and myself decided to go to MBK.

MBK Centre - nothing much.
A lot of people only.
So we checked with the info counter where we can get Naraya and was told that we can go to Central World.
(p/s: I need to get Naraya bags for my 2 sisters.)

On the way to Central World, we went Siam Discovery Centre and i bought something crazy :p

After walking for 15 mins, we finally reached Central World.
It's nice and decent, but not much human traffic.
But after i get to the Naraya shop, i take back all my words.
All the humans are there!!

The shop was flooded with people, especially Jap tourists.
Well, the stuff are really cheap and the quality is good.
A big bag costs about S$12 - 20.
And smaller bags / card holders / coin pouch can cost as little as S$2 - 10, really worth it.

Thereafter, we headed back to hotel to unload shopping bags before going for dinner.

When i got back, the bed was made this way.
And when i show it to my roomie who came back only at midnight, she said it's Sunday's Special. Keke..

Before heading for dinner, we decided to explore the hotel a bit.

The entrance to the Health Club @ Pan-Pacific Bangkok @ Level 24.

Swimming pool - Quite nice, i like :)

Dinner was at this atas authentic Thai restaurant - Naj.
The concierge @ Pan-Pacific introduced us to this place.
Food was average only, nothing fantastic.

Got dancing in the restaurant..

The appetizer, quite unique exotic taste.

Toothpicks are presented like that..

After dinner, sales guy who wasted the afternoon decided to go night market.
Sales head and myself, can't stand more walking, so we headed back to hotel.

And I didn't know messages can be sent this way..
Suakoo. Haha!

Since Bangkok is all about shopping.
Here's presenting the stuff i bought:

2 pants and one bermudas, 960 baht = approx SGD 40.
Damn cheap huh..

2 tees..

a pair of shoes..

All the above from Platinum Mall

And the Naraya shopping..

By the way, this is just one bag of stuff..
On the last day, i went shopping again at Naraya cos there's an outlet near our hotel.

I spent close to S$90 shopping @ Naraya.
The best thing - They are all for my 2 sisters and friends.

The bags i got for my sisters.
Costs S$12 and S$9 respectively.
Damn cheap huh..

And here's my crazy buy @ Siam Discovery Centre:

A small / mini guitar.
I measured, it's about 80cm long.

Not that i know how to play it YET.
But it's very cute and i can't resist it, so i bought it :p
It's 750 baht for the guitar and 250 baht for the bag.
S$40 in all, quite a good buy right :)

~ Concluding Bangkok ~

It's smelly and hot.
I don't really fancy the place, guess it's too polluted.
My colleagues say they are used to it and because of the fantastic shopping, i think they can live with it.

Someone says it's smelly because our hotel is near the river.
But the point is, i just find all the places i been to - smelly.
I guess it's just the stale air maybe.

I am not a big shopper and absolutely not a clubber.
I'm also not a super fan of massage.
So... I don't think i'll ever initiate to go for a Bangkok trip :p
