CPP Offsite - Bangkok 2008 (Part I)

So i didn't feel any excitement for this trip at all.
Even when i reach Bangkok, i still don't feel excited about the trip.
I guess it's because it's a company trip and the traveling companions are a huge bunch of colleagues which the majority, i don't even know their names.

We took Swissair to Bangkok.
The flight transits at Bangkok before heading for Zürich.
Caught 'What Happens in Vegas' on the plane but didn't manage to finish it.
Cameron Diaz is soooo funny & hot :)

By the time we reached Pan-Pacific Bangkok, it was past 11.30pm (Thai time).
We were guided to Level 21 - Heights Cafe; where they did the check-in for us.
Very effective & efficient :)

The comfy hotel bed.
My best companion for the trip cos i spent a lot of time in the room:)

After settling down our luggage, we explored our hotel area.
Most of the folks did massage.
I supper-ed with two of my colleagues and thereafter, we head back to sleep.

The next day's team-building event starts at 9am.
Breakfast starts from 8.30am.
The breakfast was good :)

Here's the number of people we have in CPP.
This is maybe only 70-80% strength?
Fyi, CPP means Credit Payment Products.

The team-building event wasn't very brilliant.
They split us into random teams and gave us topics to discuss & talk.
The topics: Food, Self and Family, Sports, Work, Thailand.

So it's like we are suppose to get to know our team-mates from these topics and therafter, there'll be questions ask and as usual got forfeit and stuff.
The members in the eventual winning team walked away with $20 Tangs vouchers.

After the team-building, it was free and easy all the way for the rest of the trip.
My unit boss initiated for a team lunch.

The supposingly team lunch became a mini department lunch -.-
Our Business Director and his wife and some other random people decided to join us.

Lunch was at this place called Siam Cuisine.
Slow service and average food.
The worst thing, none of the bosses treated.
And because we went dutch, i paid a lot more than i should as some of the guys drank beer. Irritated -.-

After lunch, we went to the tailor @ Amari Watergate.
Thereafter - shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall.
This is the only place that i wanted to go cos my bro was telling me that if i wanna minimize shopping, i can just go here.
True enough, i got 2 pants, 1 bermudas, 2 tees and a pair of shoes and these wrapped up my personal shopping for the trip :p

Halfway through, we realized the Thai people were glued to the tv screens.
There's an Olympic gold medal boxing match going on, Thailand vs Cuba.
And yes, Thailand won.

After shopping, we went for foot massage!!
Good massage place at the basement of Platinum Mall.
Totally shiok :)

And at 8pm, we headed back to the tailor.
The tailor rushed the sample piece and some of the guys can do fitting before the tailor make the rest of the shirts they ordered.

Waiting for fitting / waiting for others to do fitting...

Dinner was at this place - Ping's Sharkfin
Besides sharksfin, we had some other ala carte dishes also.
The food was good and i'm so glad it's not a repeated bad experience unlike lunch :)

500 Baht for a whole claypot of sharksfin.. ULTIMATE SHIOK!

The welcome letter from the organizing committee.
They forgot to remind the heroes to beware and not become zeroes when they go clubbing.

Being my usual anti-clubbing self, i didn't go for the clubbing.
My roomie attempted to psycho me even before we arrive in Bangkok and of course she didn't succeed :p

And the next day i heard that some heroes were puking outside the hotel.
Some rolled down from the cab.
A more terror bunch were playing with traffic cones outside the hotel.
The traffic cone players got scolded by the security guards, how embarrassing.
See, nothing good comes out from clubbing. Tsktsk..
