Our flight from Singapore to Taipei was very on time :)
Our airport transfer uncle seems to have some issue with someone.
He kept us waiting while he rattled on on his mobile phone for a good 10 minutes.

So while waiting for him to finish talking on the phone, we started taking random pictures...
And after about an hour's ride.. We finally reached our hotel.

Keyman's Hotel 懷寧旅店 @ Huai Ning Street 懷寧街.
Near to Taipei Main Station, the MRT exit is just a 2-min walk away.
I like the hotel main gate, very retro.
It's a small cosy hotel with only 12 rooms on each floor, rooms are clean and toilets are quite decent too.
Amazingly, they have free wireless internet in the rooms.
There's also a laptop at the lobby where you can use, and also a printer if you need to print stuff. All for free :)
Highly recommended if you are looking for a not-too-bad budget hotel :)
Standard room @ NTD 1720 (weekday) and NTD 1940 (weekend), with free breakfast.
We headed for Shi Da Night Market 師大夜市 after putting down our luggages.
Fyi, 師大 is the acronym for 師範大學 (National Taiwan Normal University).
One of the elite universities in Taiwan and mainly for future teachers.
The night market is near to the university, hence the name.

This red lantern stall sells 滷味 (braised stuff)
There's like a freaking long queue and i think most of the people are locals.
Their food must be damn good i guess, but we didn't try :p

Our first dinner in Taipei - 石鍋飯.
It was freaking warm and we wanted aircon, so we settled for this shop.
The food is... not very fantastic though :p
After the dinner, we walked around for a while at the night market.
The rest of the night was disastrous cos we spent a long time looking for this particular Live House that we wanted to go to. When we finally found it, the lady told us that the live performance will be ending in another 10 minutes.
So we headed back to our hotel area and we did something very Singaporean..
As a person who totally hates carbonated drinks, I miss Taiwan for the wide variety of non-carbonated - particularly tea drinks they have!
Everything can be made into a tea drink...
Barley Green Tea, Malt Milk Tea, Honey Tea etc etc...
Even Lipton also have Milk Tea in packet form and it's nice cos Lee Hom is on the packet :p
And they are also on packet of tea drinks.. :)

Just in case you are wondering why Hebe look like that, take a look at this..
