Perfect Cut is Channel U’s first local drama telecast at its 10pm weeknight blockbuster timebelt. With a story based on plastic surgery, you can expect a unique perspective of cosmetic surgery in this unorthodoxed drama serial as well as a rare insight to the lives of surgeons, morticians and many others in the world of artificial beauty.
For those who don't know yet, this is one very unique local production.
Although it's not uncommon now for people to go for cosmetic surgery,
But I don't think it's usual for anyone of us to know of friends / relatives who did cosmetic surgery. Or maybe even if anyone around us did, they'll probably keep mum about it while people just marvel about the change in their physical appearance.
This drama gives a good insight into why some people decided to opt for cosmetic surgery. Besides that, they showed some really very believing scenes of the surgery procedures. Liposuction, breasts enlargement... It's disgusting....
Each episode is a story by itself with a different 'case'.
Although one hour seems to be too short, they managed to condense each story quite nicely.
Thomas Ong plays the very practical famous cosmetic surgeon.
He seems to be getting very much different roles after he left Mediacorp.
Although he was already a good actor back then, he seems to be even better now.
Michelle Chia is the psychologist who can never agree on cosmetic surgery.
I like the way Michelle Chia act.
Like Ruien, I think both of them have this ability to act naturally.
They'll make you think that their character is really like that in real life :)
Constance Song is really the woman for all the eccentric roles.
And I think Pan Ling Ling is the next upcoming beautiful auntie in Mediacorp, she is getting some pretty good roles recently.
FYI and if you are interested.. you can still catch the last five episodes this coming week.

I've been a TV addict recently.
The Channel 8 weeknight 9pm drama, Beach.Ball.Babes it not too bad too.
The English title of this drama is really crap but watch out for Jesseca Liu and Joanne Peh.
Jesseca Liu is one egoistically irritating (but not detestable) volleyball player.
Maybe this role is suitable for her, but I didn't know she can really act until now :P
Joanne Peh is the unlucky girl in the show, both her family & love life is shitty.
This week will be a good time to start watching if you haven't because Joanne Peh's role will be having some major turning point.
