So on Monday, someone committed suicide via the MRT platform AGAIN.
I seriously don't understand why SMRT is allowing this to happen AGAIN.
And do they really think that the notice they put along the track will deter people from jumping?
Of course, we cannot blame SMRT for these suicides.
The first fella might be 'creative', but nobody (incl SMRT) anticipated that there are actually so many copycats around...
But remember there was this once, a guy pushed his girlfriend down..
The girlfriend was damn lucky that she managed to climb to the side..
Imagine if she did not climb back in time, SMRT will be in deep shit.
And actually, keeping the train stations 'open' can be dangerous for kids also, no?
Anyway, i heard that SMRT will finally be building glass barriers at above-ground stations and they hope to complete this by 2012!
Read this.. Taipei took less than three months to get the same thing up.
Taipei can do it in less than three months, we need 4 years!!
Fantastically efficient -.-
p/s: Saw this in wiki:
Incidentally, smrt means "death" in several Slavic languages.
>.<
