Found two new places over the two Saturdays..
1. Keppel Island - Marina @ Keppel Bay (for the atasx2 people)
My friend suggested that we go there before everyone else knows the place.
It's where those people who own house or maybe houses in that area, uses the marina as their 'carpark' for their yachts.
The 1st paragraph in About Us of its web:
Nestled on the historic Keppel Island, the Marina at Keppel Bay is the centrepiece of Keppel Bay's premier waterfront precinct - the only residential development in Singapore to have its own world-class marina on its very own private island. The Marina offers an exuberant marina lifestyle where the ocean becomes the playground for all who stay within the waterfront precinct.
Very atas huh.. Cannot take it!
And all the eating and drinking places there.. Very atas also.
I guess the only place there that can make me feel 'at home' is tcc.
And thank god for the tcc there, that we did not make a wasted trip.
But i gotta say.. It's a really nice place to go if you have a car and wants to go somewhere away from the crowd.
Or for guys.. If you want to impress the gal that you actually know romantic places. Yes, this place also can, provided you drive.
Notice how i emphasize driving.
If you don't drive, forget about going there.. really.
2. Colbar @ Wessex Estate (for the colonial loving / retro freaks)
And today after much consideration, we decided to explore Rochester area.
My friend mentioned Portsdown and it came to me that Colbar is actually there.
Read about it on 8 Days quite some time ago but never have the chance to visit it and on the way to Portsdown, i totally cannot recall the name of the place :(
But SO GLAD that we eventually found it without much effort! :)
Brief of what Colbar actually is:
Colbar, short for ‘Colonial Bar,’ was built in 1953 along Jalan Hang Jebat (off Portsdown Road) back when the 2,600 acre land was a British military base. The eating house served as a canteen and mess hall for soldiers who lived in the neighbouring black-and-white army barracks, now known as Wessex Estate.

Do not come here if you can't live without aircon.
And unless you are a person who sweat buckets, you'll appreciate the no aircon here as it blend in very well with the whole feel of the place.
Anyway, the trees around the place makes it a very cooling place, or at least it was so for tonight.

Kitchen closes at 8.30pm and because we reached there close to 10pm, I can only have ham sandwich to satisfy my food craving.
This place also serves a wide range of beer from different countries, the beer fridge says 'UK Beer Culture' (but they actually have beer from more than just UK).
We are sooo going back there for food!!! :D
