Went singing at AMK yesterday late into the nite.
When i left the place with my friend, it was about 1.30am.
Not long after we stepped out of the building,
a man approached us. He was quite young, should be in
his 20s or at most early 30s.
He said: He drives a school bus and just visited his friend who
stays in AMK. His bus bumped into another car.
The driver that he bumped into demanded $50 and the guy
did not have any cash and he did not bring his ATM card.
He asked if we could lend him $50 and he'll leave his NRIC
with us and he'll call tomorrow morning to return the $.
We rejected him of course and he continued to explained
and even took out his NRIC and told us that he's a Singaporean.
He said he's not a cheater and that he'll not be so thick-skinned
to ask two girls who are strangers for $, but because he was
really desperate and the driver is really angry.
When my friend suggested that he can go to the police,
he said he didn't want any trouble, so he wanted to just pay
and be done with.
I said he could have called his friend that he just visited for help.
He said the friend was a Malaysian and cos they don't know
each other very well, he don't want to bother him/her.
My friend then said:
Don't you have other friends in Singapore?
He was dubmfounded.
So we just tell him we couldn't help him and walked off.
After that, he walked away very fast to the carpark direction.

.
THIS MAN, if he's a cheater, i think his skills are soooo lousy!
So many loopholes in his story!!
Firstly: I think the driver will want his NRIC more than us.
He could have given it to him.
Secondly: My friend said he's such a young guy who doesn't
look like a social recluse, he can speak quite well in fact.
So it's TOTALLY unbelievable that there's no friend he
could seek help from and gotta ask strangers for help.
Thirdly: Didn't he said he just visited his friend, he could
have called that friend for help. Though he claimed he
don't really know the friend well, but i think it beats asking
strangers for help, isn't it??
Anyway, my friend concluded that he wanted to get rich
by asking $50 from a lot of people.
But before he can even do that, i think he needs to come
up with a MORE convincing story.
Moral of the story:
There are really a lot of people out there.
Even here in Singapore which is so safe, we still have to be careful.
Especially girls, pls be very careful. Try not to stay out too late
alone and avoid places which are very quiet.
I thank every god out there that we were lucky to
bump into him and not anything dangerous.
/me touches wood.
