I went to torture myself by joining this.....

Fun on Foot, Heartlands Singapore!
Organised by National Heritage Board and Central Singapore.
It's really FOOT but not really that fun cos
we walked non-stop for five hours, 9am - 2pm!!!!
Except for like 15 minutes which we were on the bus... -.-
Not really what i expected cos since it says
Heartlands Singapore, and organised by Central Singapore.
i'll expect to move within districts in Central Singapore by bus/MRT.
Central Singapore is quite big lor..
Even my district is considered Central Singapore.
But this game, it only covers Jln Besar and Balestier.
It's actually kinda like Amazing Race -
with more teams participating,
more check-points to cover, less exciting prizes.
There are two zones and 17 sites (check-points).
Zone 1 - Jln Besar, Zone 2 - Balestier.
Zone 1 is killing cos one site to another can be
quite a distance away. We moved from Lavender MRT to as far
as Boon Keng MRT on FOOT!!! And cos the Sun also never show
any mercy, it was a tiring journey.
Zone 2, it rained a bit.
The weather was cooler after that
and with the 15 minutes rest on bus, i could move faster.
And it was not as bad cos one site to another is nearer.
We managed to finish the 17 sites within the scheduled time.
Of cos, we didn't win anything
(except our integrity cos we didn't cheat).
You can say i m a bad loser
but i don't believe the winners didn't cheat.
When we reached Balestier,
we see quite a lot of people at the finishing point already.
I don't believe they can cover all 17 sites within less than 3 hrs if they:
1) Dunno where the 17 sites are in the first place.
2) Can only move on foot, except bus/mrt from Zone 1 to Zone 2.
Anyway, it's a good experience.
Wun mind joining it again, cos it's a good form of exercise,
although i got blisters cos i wore the wrong type of socks.
But the next time.........
I'll wear ankle length socks, and definitely................ CHEAT
(who cares about integrity.. muahahha!)
