CMA at Work

It's been a long time since i last did my job.
My profession - CMA aka Chinese Music Advisor.
Muhahahaha.. Yes, it sounds cheena-ly cheesy.
But i am proud of this title :)

How it came about.... I think was through crapping as
to what we can put if we have our self-made name cards.
Hey!! At least i m worthy of an advisor position! :p

Anyway, wanna introduce - 櫻桃幫Cherry Boom
A new Taiwan girl band. And i mean BAND!
Yes... They play the instruments.

Very rare indeed to see a true blue girl band.
Although i've always been wondering why there isn't
a record company who wants to sign / train a girl band.

First caught them on MTV where i saw their
title track MV - 親愛的王子 (Dear Prince).
It's hard not to notice them cos of the morbidly
arranged song and the image they adopted in the MV.
They remind me of Emily the Strange. Morbidosss!

"Got" their songs a few days later and
i gotta say that they are not a crap band trying to capture
the market by coming up with the girl band gimmick.

They composed about six songs in their album and there
are already some worthy tracks in their debut album.
I personally like - 蝕月﹐再見我的愛﹐ 秘密花園。
Since they are a rock band also, there are bound to be
comparison with other bands, F.I.R lovers might like 我的空氣。

Of cos packaging still plays a part and by not putting
them in the cutesy pie image, it's really make or break
for the record company.

Anyway, Leafie thinks that they are really a good band in the making.
If they make, i'll be looking forward to their next album.
If they break, it's yet another loss for the pathetic music scene...
