Crash

The film depicts several characters living in Los Angeles, California during a 36-hour period and brings them together through car collisions, shootings, and carjacking. Through these characters' interactions, the film seeks to depict and examine not only racial tension, but also the distance between strangers in general.

This film won three Oscars for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing of 2005 at the 78th Academy Awards.

For the full storyline, you'll really have to know the characters in the movie.

Caught this on DVD.

This is really a pretty well done film.
I'm not a fan of movies which touches on racism / politics.
But i didn't feel bored watching this film.

Crash reminds me of the Taiwan movie last year - Cape No.7.
Both movies have a lot of characters in it and attempted to do a lot of things.

While i think Cape No.7 is a failure, Crash managed to plot so well such that it seems all possible for these strangers to 'meet & collide'.

This film really depicts very well, the unthinkable distance between humans, be it strangers or your loved ones.

A movie worth watching :)
