I was sick since Thursday and i've yet to recover from it.
I first felt sick on Wednesday with a sore throat.
And on Thursday, it developed into a cough and my body was aching all over.
So on Thursday, i went to see a doctor at Bishan.
The doctor prescribed me with anarex, antibiotics and lozenges.
No cough syrup.
I was puzzled and asked the reception why there isn't any cough syrup.
To my surprise, the reception said: "Oh.. no need cough syrup, just take the antibiotics, it will suppress the cough."
So i took the medicine and still didn't feel any better.
On Friday, i went back to work for half day cos there's some work to clear.
And over the weekend, i still didn't feel any better and ever since Thursday, i have fever every night.
So earlier today, i went to see the usual doctor that i see near my house.
I told him that the doctor didn't prescribe me cough syrup, he was equally shocked also. And after telling him the symptoms and doing the checks, he told me it's a viral infection and there's not a need to eat antibiotics at all.
I went to the doctor at Bishan cos' i was feeling very sick and did not want to walk / take a bus to the doctor that i see near my house.
And since my sister was also going to bring my nephew to the baby clinic at Bishan, i decided to follow her.
Anyway, I really don't know what the Bishan doctor was doing.
And, just to warn everyone, do not go to Lifeline Bishan.
It's near to the OCBC at Bishan Central.
The weather is erratic recently, do take care and drink lots of water.
And with the festives going on - Party hard, but go easy on the booze :)
