8 Days gave 2*.. I'll give it 3* at least.
1.5* for Wong Li-Lin
- She's good good gooooood!!
I must say..she's really a natural on screen :)
0.5* for Joan Chen & Vernetta Lopez
- A pity they don't have much screen time for me to award more * :p
0.3* star for Qi Yu Wu
- He acted so effortlessly well in bad English..
Well, he can't speak good English. So yea.. he didn't act, that's why he got 0.3*:p
The rest goes to the story and the effort in making familiar locations look romantic.
This is really a very 'love story' love story movie.
Since it's based on a novel, it HAS to be like that.
So those who can't stand corny love stories, stay away ok.
Very Singapore indeed.
I think.. I was overdosed with Corrine May songs in the movie.
And the character that Li-Lin played, was from a girl's school.
So ya.. One out of three of her best friends, should be gay.
Muhahaha!
And you know how each local film will always will have this cameo by this unexpected person that will contribute a few seconds of laughter in the theatre.. For this movie, the person who contributed it was no other than.... Allan Wu. Haha!
And i am not sure if this is the first time that we have a romance movie.
But if this really is, i think not too bad for a start yea :)
