Today, i witnessed a real pro at work.
One of the AVP for a product was dealing with this nasty client.
Apparently, he is just not happy with everything..
From the product's proposition.. Down to the customer service hotline.
And he did lotsa research to prove why the product is not the best offering.
I can only say, there's REALLY lotsa different species of people in this world
and the most horrible kind are those who have too much time on hand.
And the best thing is....
The nasty client is young, less than 30 yrs old
and he is not the 'main' customer.
The AVP was on the line with him for a good 90 minutes.
I keep hearing her repeating the same things to him.
She's really damnnn patient and i can feel how bitch that guy must have been.
The AVP just lost an elder in her family and this is her first day back at work.
It must have suck for her to deal with such a case the moment she is back..
Anyway, what i wanna say is.. Be nice to Customer Service.
You don't know what they are going through
and how bad their day can be with the existence of such human beings.
The next time you come across a good CS officer.. Don't be stingy.
Say 'Thanks' with his/her name.
It'll really make them feel good and brighten up their day.
I will be nice to Customer Service.
