Found two new haunts, recommended by friends..
Blu Jaz @ Bali Lane
They play live jazz and blues on weekends.
But wasn't really impressed by the music cos the vocalist was quite bad.
My friends who's been there before said the music could have been better.
Anyway, food is what they impressed me.
They took pride in food presentation and the taste is not bad not bad :D

A gauge of how the food costs there:
Dory Fillet - $8.90
Fish & Chips - $7.90
New York Cheesecake - $5.00
Mango Lassi (mango + yoghurt) - $5.00
Beer - $6 - 12 depending on type and brand.
Service is quite duhh though.
We waited 20 minutes for our change after settling our bill, this is despite the fact that i waited 5 minutes each time before reminding three different servers that we were still waiting for our change. I reckon a lot of the servers aren't local and it is a pain trying to make them understand you.
But will still go for the nice cheap food and drinks.
We left Blu Jaz @ around 10 plus and headed for..
The Wine Hut @ Roberston Quay
This is THE place to be at!
pic from The Wine Hut's website.
Really cool nice cosy place for some nice wine.
Prices are quite affordable too.
You can get a bottle of wine for as cheap as $30 - 40.
Even the pizza there is nice! Keke..
Wine is really still my favourite type of alcohol,
even though i get so easily knocked out by it.
I still don't understand how people can like beer.
It's a drink that you'll feel so awfully bloated after drinking it.
On the other hand - Wine, especially nice white wine, leaves a sweet lingering aftertaste :D
And i had nice red wine yesterday too!
Thanks to my friend's recommendation.
He said he can hang out there five days in a week. Damn scary..
But after we were there, we all knew why he can get addicted also. Haha!
This is what they mentioned in the website:
"Here at The Wine Hut, our mission is to provide an elegant, yet casual setting that is guranteed to make your wine experience a less imposing and intimidating one. We strive to make your every wine encounter with us friendly and enjoyable. In the same way that wine leaves a pleasant after taste, we hope that our service will too."
I'll say, they lived up to it man! :D
