Caught this last night..
Went into the cinema without knowing what kinda movie it is AT ALL.
My friends they all were damn bad in describing what kinda movie also.
The best they could do was: "there.. the Nicole Kidman de.. some virus.."
Synopsis / Trailer / Website
So it turned out to be a sci-fi thriller....
In yet another remake of the 1956 sci-fi classic "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers", we follow the story of a mysterious epidemic which dangerously alters the behaviour in human beings. When a Washington D.C. psychiatrist (Nicole Kidman) discovers through her research that its origins are actually extraterrestrial, she must protect her son, who may strangely hold the key to stopping the marauding invaders.
Got a few parts like will make you 'scared'.
So who is sitting beside is very important!
We went in late and after settling down,
my friend's boyfriend was sitting beside me on the left -.-
And the seat exactly on my right.. got nobody la! -.-
I DON'T LIKE THIS FEELING!
The movie plotted that the virus spreading around was to turn humans into the 'same kind' and it was some aliens' doing.
And they had to twist some politics in through this intellectual conversation that Nicole Kidman had over a dinner.(but i personally think that scene was good)
What i can't comprehend is ..
What do the aliens hope to achieve by making this world a very orderly universe? But i guess aliens, if they do exist, are not for humans to comprehend.
Apparently, this movie was a flop in the West.
This is the 3rd remake of the movie (1956, 1978, 1993, 2007).
Since it's a remake, i guess comparisons with its predecessors must be the downfall of it.
But ok la, i think was acceptable. Can watch.
Nicole Kidman is like damn good and her little son in the movie is soooo prettily cute :D
