My friend, the woman 衛國軍~

Last Saturday, went for my friend's Officer Commissioning Parade.
She's endured 38 weeks of training to be 2LT in Navy! :)

And we endured 20 minutes of walking to get to the Parade Square!

It was raining and we reached SAFTI via cab from Boon Lay.
The uncle was kind enough to take all five of us in one cab.
And when we step into SAFTI, we heard 'shuttle service' and
I was so HAPPY cos from the instructions given by my friend,
the Parade Square is like damn farrrrr away.

And true enough, there's Shuttle Bus and we hopped on to it.
But the bloody bus dropped us like after two bus stop distance.
And there, it started us on the gruelling walk up the slope/stairs..

And after 20 minutes, we finally reach the Parade Square.

Like in Singapore Zoo, waiting for the elephant show to start :P

After half an hour of waiting, the Parade began.

And througout the Parade, the graduating officers sang two songs.
Like what you see on TV, they really SING those morale-boosting army songs!
And no wonder my friend's voice sooooo man now...
They are all singing monotonously and so manly!! -.-

The colours marching in

And i'm so irritated by the boys sitting behind us!!
I think they are already serving NS or what.
They are so proud to show off that they KNOW the melayu command.
Kept translating LOUDLY like all of us are so keen to hear them translate!
"forward, forward" ....... "award winners, award winners" ...........

At one point, i couldn't stand it and i said to my friend:
"I DON'T NEED SUBTITLES BEHIND ME!!"
My friend told me after that i was quite loud, that's the whole point man!
And yea, they did shuddup after that.

Graduating Officers marching pass the Parade Square

Marching out to Auld Lang Syne..

The military band that my friend kept complaining about.
She asked: "Why need military band huh?
"I don't think people will bring band to war lor!"
Like -.- but makes sense huh...

The part where everyone rushed down.
"Parents, relatives and friends are invited to affix ranks for the officers."
Madness -.-

And woooohoo~~~ CAP THROWING!

1 hour 20 mins of Commissioning feels like 5 hours for us -.-
Didn't take pic with my friend using my handphone.
Must wait for my friend's camera piccies.

But happy and proud for my friend,
only two woman officers graduated from the Navy contingent
and she's one of them ;) 厲害!
