Memoirs of a Geisha

Watched this film when i was in KL in the hotel.
For a quite stupid reason :P
Cos we were upgraded to a suite and there's a
DVD player and we decided to utilise it at night :P

Quite a heavy film i would say.
It's the kinda film which you'll watch and ponder a lot.
For me, i think that we are fortunate to be born in this era.
People who were older really went through a lot.

Maybe geisha is a little foo far away.
Geographically and culturally, it's hard for us to imagine.
Think of samsui and comfort women in Singapore.
I respect Singapore women who went through that.
They really experienced much more than us now.

That gives some man the chance to say that:
"you gals are so fortunate that you dun have to go through NS"
I really hate this coming out from a man.

Anyway, i really like Michelle Yeoh after this film.

I've seen her in the more heoric films like Silver Hawk.
And this is the first time i am really seeing her "not in action".
I really like this woman cos she just ages so gracefully and
she's really a good actress!

And i'm looking forward to this film in 2007 - True North.

Starring Michelle Yeoh and got Michelle Krusiec too! :)

It's said that True North is in post-production.
Hopefully it gets screened soon and it'll be available in Singapore soon!
