Ever since i start working, i m hooked on tea.
It's like i'll need to have tea in the morning
at least three times a week.
And ever since i start drinking tea, i became really fussy with tea.
Tea from Macdonald's or any fast food restaurant.
They fail terribly.
After putting the creamer, it'll look like drain water.
Other coffee joints, depending on which type of tea.
I don't mind Earl Grey or English Breakfast.
But tea as in milk tea.. nope, i won't even try.
Teh O? Yes.. Only for Earl Grey or English Breakfast.
Lipton teh O - No. And Lipton tea can only drink
with Milkmaid kinda milk. No creamer.
And what is defined as a good cuppa milk tea?
The milk tea has gotta be rich.
You must be able to taste both the milk and the tea EQUALLY.
Not just one of it.
It's actually quite difficult to make the right cuppa tea.
So far, four places have passed this test for Leafie.
1. Pagoda Street coffeeshop
There's this hip-looking auntie who makes marvellous tea.
I'll ALWAYS buy if i see her manning the counter.
If it's the male boss, then i'll think if i really have the urge to drink that morning.
2. Yakun
The only down side is that, i get only half a cup of tea when i have to
pay the same amount compared to getting from coffeeshop. Dumb.
3. Hougang Plaza - Joe's Corner
I don't know if it still taste good.
If the stall change hands already, it might be different.
The last time i had it, it was great~~~~~~
4. Kovan's Wang Jiao HK Cafe
They have one of the BEST tea in town.
It's SUPER rich and you really get this shiok feeling drinking it.
The best thing is......
They serve it in the retro cup & saucer set! Way cool~~
And drinking tea at night, you need good company.
Your tea will taste doubly nice with the right company.
Speaking from experience ;)
