Went to Hangout @ Mt Emily for dinner last nite.
For those who don't know, it's a hostel kinda hotel.
The restaurant is in the hotel - Wild Rocket.
Fine dining setting but not something
you'll feel VERY restricted.
Something special about the menu,
there's no dishes that uses chicken.
The owner/chef don't like chicken and maybe
he wanna let others know that besides chicken
there are lotsa other stuff to try also.
I had Penne with Veal Meat and Green Peppercorn.
Not bad.. A very meaty dish. Something i like.
I'll give it a 4/5 stars.
The way the veal meat is cooked and the seasoning,
it reminds me of mutton except that it's easier to eat.
Before that, i was wondering what's green peppercorn.
When the dish came, i realised it's tiny green peppers.
And when you happen to chew on it, it gives a very
different taste to the dish. Nice :)
Another can try is this dish.. Laksa something Prawns.
Yes, don't be fooled by the color, it really is laksa taste.
The prawns are very fresh. Also worth 4/5 stars.
And we also had chococalate gateau with vanila ice-cream.
Forgot to take pic but IT'S VERY VERY GOOD!
The outer layer of it is a little crispy and the
chocolate oozes out from it after you take the first bite.
A MUST TRY! 5/5 stars!
Quite a nice place that serves nice food and
provides good service. If you are having your main
course, they'll not clear your plates (even if you've finished)
until the last person finished eating.
Do try Wild Rocket if you want something different.
The price is not exactly cheap, i spent $23 on a
main course, a shared side dish and shared dessert.
But with the nice food and nice service, it's worth it :)
