Been there twice and both times, i went to One Rochester.
Wanted to go there again today cos i wanna have the shio bah,
But as always, they are full, and the best thing is there's only
standing area!! wah lau.. pay to stand, quite duhh right? -.-.
My friends don't want to wait, so we decided to check
out the rest of the outlets.
Went to the back lane and we found graze @ 4 Rochester Park.
Think it's quite a new outlet, Wine and Dine @ AsiaOne wrote they
opened in April 06. The chill-out bar located on the upper storey of graze
is mint lounge bar. Actually they are under the same management,
but wonder why they wanted two names for it. hmmm...
mint lounge bar is very different from One Rochester.
I like the spaciousness open concept in mint lounge bar,
they use brighter colors for their furniture compared to One Rochester.
and i think the cute (but a lil skinny) bartender,
added quite a few pts to my liking for mint :p
good service, another few more points added :)
i am a sucker for good-service places.
One Rochester has got more privacy cos they'll
use curtains to separate tables in one of the area.
mint has got more seating area but yet they do not cramp the room.
I like places where they know how to fully utilise the area
but yet not going to the extend of cramping it. brilliant~
And came the ordering..
My friends wanted red wine and asked for recommendation.
I was pleased with cute bartender cos he recommended something
around $80 when my friend actually asked him about a $150 bottle.
I ordered 'bubble trouble' - some lychee liquour, think got menthol,
green tea and dunno what concoction.. but, it was good, something i like :)
The only thing lacking in mint is probably lack of finger food.
While One Rochester has got sinful shio bah, they do not have much stuff.
Oh.. and it's actually Juan's 10-days belated birthday celebration :)

And suddenly i recall my colleague saying that since i always chill out,
i should go check guys out.. Ask for their sign, buy them a drink.....
No, i don't do such things.. The only thing i'll do is just keep talking
abt the cute guy and................................................ do nothing
